Winter preview, Timpanogos

I managed to squeeze in a hike up Timpanogas today along with Tim and his wife. This was the latest in the year that I have ever visited this trail, and probably the coldest. After watching several sketchy traverses towards the saddle, I opted out of a visit to the main summit. I headed up to the top of a less visited peak directly north of Emerald Lake called Roberts Horn. This was much more enjoyable than I had anticipated. The path mainly consisted of a slightly precarious knife edge ridge with incredible views on both sides. Trip length was about 13 miles round trip according to the GPS.
